Developments

Staying home with Reed these last few weeks has been fun as I start to learn more about him and see him develop.

SLEEPING
He is sleeping on a more regular schedule than the first month, but we don't have an firm times for bedtime or waking up. A few times he has actually slept 7 hours straight! I swear I thought he was dead and it was the most unrestful sleep I've had! Right now, he has a pretty good routine of going to sleep between 9 and 10, sleeping 4 hours, taking a bottle and going right back to bed and then sleeping another 4 hours. If we want a little extra time to snooze in the morning I bring him back to bed with me though that won't continue much longer.

GROWTH
He is growing quickly! I noticed this week that he doesn't fit very well into his 0-3 month onesies so I broke out the 3 month which are a little roomy but fit much better. I also noticed that his diapers were getting a little tight on his chunky thighs so we've moved up into a bigger diaper. I almost got weepy when I pulled out the next size diapers - they look too big for my little baby! He has a doctor's appointment next week, but I did an unscientific weigh-in on the home scale and he was 15 1/2 pounds! I am sure getting a workout lifting his car seat in and out of my car.

DEVELOPMENT
Reed's best time is in the morning after a bottle and a diaper change. He is so happy and is giving me a ton of smiles when we play in the morning. He holds his head up very well during tummy time. Check out the video below of some tummy time. The video is a little long, but wait until the end to hear him talking!
