Introducing...Chaos Tate!

Another little Wheaten has joined the family. After Beau and I went and adopted Cubby, we took him over to meet my parents and my sister Jenna and her husband Alex. As they were looking at Cubby, my sister came over and asked me for the name of the breeder. She wanted to know if I would care if they went and took a look at Cubby's sister who was the only puppy left. Jenna and Alex had also been thinking about getting a dog for awhile. A couple of weeks ago, I mentioned to Jenna that I had read up on Wheatens and they seemed like a good dog as a compromise for some of the characteristics we both wanted. Jenna then did some reading on Wheatens, and discovered that they might also be a good fit for her and Alex.

The next day Jenna and Alex went and adopted Cubby's sister, who based on her personality and their expectations for the impact she'll have on their lives, is called Chaos!

Chaos is definitely more dominant than Cubby and is an active ball of energy, which will fit the Tate lifestyle well since Alex is looking forward to jogging and exercising with her and having her be outdoors with him.

Cubby is definitely more fit to Beau and I as he already seems pretty laidback and submissive. Chaos came to visit Cubby for the first time Tuesday night. She was quite tired since it was her first few hours with her new family. Cubby was a little more relaxed since he had a day's head start on making the adjustment. Soon after Jenna set Chaos down, Cubby was jumping around ready to play. Chaos has a small skin infection so she wasn't feeling too well and was tired as well. She tolerated Cubby for a little while, but then he got too hard a bite on her. She shrieked at him and pinned him to the ground. It was so funny! After she pinned him, she let him go. At which point, he jumped up, bit her butt and ran off. Looks like we'll have quite the case of sibling rivalry.

We're looking forward to enjoying both Cubby and Chaos together. We'll get picture of both of them together this weekend. At first when he found out that Jenna & Alex had adopted Chaos, Beau asked me how we would be able to tell them apart. I reminded him that one of the dogs would have an extra appendage and one wouldn't! He laughed. But really, the two dogs look pretty different so there is not a problem telling them apart.

Welcome to our world Chaos Tate!
