Urban BBQ

The last weekend in May we had an urban BBQ downtown at Tom & Janet's condo. Justin and Nichole were in town for a wedding so it was great to visit with them. These photos are from the great outdoor patio on the 9th floor of Tom & Janet's building, which is just across the hall from their unit.

Did I mention that Reed has one pair of shoes? He wears a size 6, which is apparently about the last size you can find before you get into hard-soled toddler shoes.

Nichole and Reed

He was so tired by the middle of the afternoon but wouldn't go to sleep. If there is any kind of action going on at all then he is reluctant to go to sleep. We usually have to put him in bed in a room by himself to get him to settle down. But on Sunday he was completely mesmerized by Great Aunt Christa who rubbed his back and talked to him. A couple of times I tried to get him to come to me, but he wanted to go back to Christa. His eyes kept drooping and finally after a while he turned to me and reached his arms out. I laid him across my chest and he passed out immediately.

I just love this photo of Christa and him...so sweet.
