Quick Update - 40 Weeks & Counting

Just a quick update for everyone.

It is August 9, and I'm now officially overdue as my estimated date of delivery (EDD) was yesterday August 8.

I saw the doctor on Thursday morning, and I had made no progress since my appointment two weeks ago - still 1 cm dilated, 70% effaced. My doctor asked whether I would like to schedule an induction or wait it out. I preferred to schedule something so I can spend as much time as possible with the new baby since I'm already on maternity leave. He suggested Monday or Tuesday. However, I did not hear from him going into the weekend so it looks like Monday is out. Hopefully, we will get something on the calendar for next week if the little bugger doesn't decide to shape up and come out this weekend.

I am pretty cranky mostly because I'm so anxous. I feel relatively okay. It's hard to move around, but my swelling is under control and everything else is fine.

I've already tried several natural ways to induce labor at home. But so far, nothing has worked. Guess I need to learn to be patient.

I'll update everyone if we get an induce date.
