Welcome to the Blue-Eyed Blog! This is the story of our blue-eyed family, which started with a blue-eyed girl and a blue-eyed boy....

Mica grew up in Lake St. Louis, Missouri with her sister and parents. She liked to waterski, dance, read and play soccer. She grew up, went off to (several) colleges before ending up at Mizzou. She graduated with a degree in Journalism and eventually settled in St. Louis. On Valentine's Day 2003, she met...

Beau Allen who grew up in central Illinois in a town called Divernon. Beau lived there with his twin sister Amanda, brother Justin and his parents Tom & Janet. One day, Beau's dad got a new job in Riverton, where Beau graduated high school. Beau liked to play basketball, football and baseball. He grew up and went to the University of Illinois where he earned a degree in Economics. After awhile, he also ended up in St. Louis, where he walked into a bar called Soulard's one Valentine night...

Beau and Mica met and fell in love! After a few years together, Beau proposed. Mica accepted.



They were married on July 15, 2006.


After they got married, they traveled, had fun with friends and family and worked long hours! About a year after they got married, they had their first baby...a Wheaten Terrier named Cubby. Cubby was the love of their life until....

Mica and Beau decided to have a baby. Mica got pregnant in November 2007. They waited to find out whether their new baby would be a boy or a girl....




And on August 12, 2008, they met their newblue-eyed baby boy, Reed Thomas Veihman! Reed is now the love of our life! (sorry Cubby) He is also the love of his grandparents', aunts', uncles', great-grandmas', great-aunts, great-uncles', cousins', etc. lives!


Who will be the next member of the blue-eyed family?? We will have to wait and see....
